About AIA

Damon And Susan ChristmasAbout Damon Jones, Owner AIA

Damon Jones is a native Oregonian and has 30 years of performance experience across the USA. He attended Beaverton High School under the tutelage of James N. Erickson, one of Portland's theater icons. Damon spent fours years studying theater at the University of Oregon with professors Robert Barton (Author of "Acting Onstage and Off") and Grant McKernie at U of O. Damon Jones is the star and choreographer of the "Kelly Bear" video series, sold nationally. He has appeared as a contestant on four nationally televised game shows, (Press Your Luck, Sale of the Century, Classic Concentration, and Shop 'Til You Drop) winning three out of four opportunities. Jones was a game host as well, traveling throughout the East Coast promoting the 1989 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Along with numerous theatrical credits, Damon also starred in the feature film "One Night in Portland" (see movie trailer at www.onenightinportland.com).

While spending seven years acting in LA, Jones appeared in "Guncrazy," starring Drew Barrymore and an episode of "Tales From the Crypt," directed by Michael J. Fox. He spent two years with the "The Imagination Company," traveling throughout California performing children's theater. For the past 10 years Damon has continued performing in his own theater company, AIA Theater.

Damon has been teaching on-camera acting for the past 12 years. Many of his students have gone on to act in film, TV, commercials, industrial, and voice-overs. Actors in Action (AIA) began business in Portland, Oregon on May 1, 1998. Damon went into business on his own after working as director with two local children's talent agencies from 1993 to 1998. With the encouragement from casting directors, producers, and local talent, AIA has quickly become one of the top talent resources in the Northwest. Damon strives to personally know each talent member on the roster. He is known throughout the Northwest for his honesty, integrity, and realistic approach to the entertainment industry. No promises are made that cannot be kept. There is no "registration fee" to become a talent at AIA. AIA is a family owned and operated business that cares about its clients. AIA is especially helpful to those that may be new to the business.
